Hey All;

I've a Suzuki JR 50 mini motorcycle that the kids have outgrown. I'm checking out the possibility of mounting the hot little 2 stroke and using a direct drive to the left or a "jackshaft" via the crank.

I'm searching but don't even know the correct terms to search for. The engine comes with a foot shift neutral/in gear centrifugal clutch so I don't need a free wheel. I know I won't want to pedal with a bike carrying an engine up so high and would like to use it like a scooter, mounting footpegs instead.

Can I just mount cranks/chainrings on the left and right side with the primary drive on the left and final drive on the right? Seems like it would work great if I could get the gearing figured out.

Cheers,

Paul
