Hi everybody!
My name is Chris and I am from Adelaide, South Australia, Australia and I am new to the world of motorised bikes.
I am currently looking into building a motorised bike for the purpose of commuting whenever I have no passengers to save money on fuel (which is primarily weekends, for university I have friends who I carpool with during the weekdays) and also for a bit of fun riding. I was introduced to motorised bikes a couple of years ago when he bought one for his bike (a zbox as I clearly remember). I thought it was a cool idea, but never gave any thought into building one at the time.
I am looking at getting a zbox 48cc 200 watt engine due to legal issues in Australia, which requires motorised bikes to only output a maximum of 200 watts. Yes, the company that once claimed 500 watts could barely "pull the skin off a custard" and would "not power a motorised bicycle" now sells them. You can have a look at the link below.

I don't own a *usable* bike either (i.e. the bike in the shed is rusted out, missing countless parts and I doubt the engine would fit the frame), so I will need to look into that as well. Looking at getting this one (link below) or possibly just a second hand one from an op shop.
