Noob from Vancouver BC

Hi all:

I am moving from the burbs, and am going to be living in downtown Vancouver. Am interested in getting some advice to make my big jump into the world of using bikes for communting and esp interested in motorized options.

Any Vancouver people here, so I can get some local advice to buy a good bike? Are there any good bike stores that sell motorized bikes in the YVR area and have a other options as well (electric etc)? Or do people get them shipped from places like Spooky Tooth Bicycles and the like?
