Ohio 50cc rule

I have been looking online for Ohio motorbike rules. Apparantly, if it is above 50cc, it is a motorcycle even if it has pedals. Seems like there would be a grandfather clause for a 63 year old Whizzer engine, which probably couldn't outrun a 50cc 2 stroke.

Maybe, but that's the law in Indiana too- no exceptions here.
