Piston Roller Bearing play

Curious if anyone knows how loose the roller bearing should fit into the crank connecting rod. I have the needle bearing type and it seemed to me to have excessive play. This engine is not that old so I'm just wondering if this is normal.

This is kind of tough to judge by feel, but the radial play should be barely perceptible. A visual inspection should reveal any wear like flat spots on the rollers or unevenly worn wear surfaces. (piston pin, con rod small end)

I took a new engine apart (after break in) and there is more play in these bearings then you'd think. Kind of sloppy for me but the engine runs great.
