possible frame tank bike

:cool:Hey, noendo,

The description states it's a 1955 cantilever design, but it doesn't look like one. It looks like an aluminum frame.

The other SCHWINN bikes do have cantilever frames, though. Theirs look like steel.

If you want to lose the tank, that is not a horn tank in the frame. It looks to be a flat plate, much like the new SCHWINN AEROSPORT.

I'm looking at a two-dimensional photo, so I might be wrong.

yeah i need to see it in the flesh. this is it on the schwinn website but it doesnt state if its alloy or steel. http://www.schwinnbike.com/products/intbikes_detail.php?id=854

not to worried if its alloy its just if i could use that box section as a tank. it would be easy to seal it and get a filler neck welded on the side.
