Not sure if anyone has brought up using a Tower Standoff as a front engine mount...

It fits tubing from 1.5 to 3 inches and attaches with just a stainless steel hose clamp. It doesn't look bad either. Pretty rugged construction and you can use it in the front or back. Only mod to it was grinding a little off the edge where the two engine bolts meet the mount. You could actually skip the grinding if you buy regular allen head bolts. I added heat shrink to the bottom of the standoff to prevent any serious scratching.

For me this is a temporary fix until I can find time to fab a real mount. You can pickup 10 Tower Standoff from Ebay for about $26.

Also found a pretty neat design using a muffler clamp. The design is for a quick paintball loader, but can also be used as a front engine mount.
