    Rap ****

    What's that sick stuff
    we hear on the street
    no respect for women
    commonly called meat

    don't obey by the law
    cause they think there above
    punks one and all
give the old lady a shove

    respect's one thing
    they just don't know
    stab you blow a kiss
    as they watch you go

    polluting our kids
    sick lyrics aren't right
    degrading women
    corrupted late into the night

    then you think your proud
    much to talk about
    all you are is loud
    rediculous shout

    take you rap ****
    and head back downtown
    cause your kind
    we don't want around

    so you rap that ****
    keep it out of here
    stay where you belong
    drinking cheap beer

don't spread it to our kids
    what ever you do
are we might have to come
    get rid of you !

what's up with this anyway ????

telling me the word cra p has been edited out ??????

come on now -- ride the THING

It has always been on the auto-edit list, MM. Which is why most folks substitute "carp" for it when they mean cr ap.

Just one of the things that comes with the territory.

3,900 posts and you didn't notice that carp is censored?

I agree. This rap sh1t is hardly even music. Some of these songs are painful to listen to, and I'm not even talking about the lyrics. Its a disgrace to society to play some of that sh1t over the radio.

Tom thanks for the new spot here

I see how we do it here
yes a little slow at times on top the mountain -- it's a good THING I think

    yes the rap crrap
years ago now a Lady and I were going for a long car ride
I grabbed a few tapes from my son's room to take along
plugged one of those babbies in while in Mexico
dang rap crrap -- threw it and the others right out the window
I know it's not a good THING to litter
but in this case it was a broken law that I could live with

Tom thanks for the new place here to -- let it all hang out

come on vtec, we know how you love the old school stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I went through a phase many, many years ago. I actually got kicked out of an Ice Cube concert when I was about 12 or 13. Now I can't even stand to listen to any of that c r a p.

Remember Digital Underground? saw them too years ago too.

When my son was 17, I was letting Buddy Holly have his way with the stereo and his nibs came home and told me it was the music from H*ll and immedately put Twisted Sister on.
    About 6 years later I went over to his place and was greated by the soulfull sound of Hank Snow {Sr.}

I raised my kids on a wide mixture of music, but the best pacifier on earth was Jethro Tull. To this day, they don't like rap and never did.

so did my parents... everything from paul simon to metallica to Johann Bach.

there is some rap I like but not much... I don't really do much rap or country.

although the country is slowly growing on me... especially the older stuff.

Probably my Dad but not my Mom... she is pretty religious. Both consider themselves "flower children" though.

Some of my very good friends are devout christians - others are devout muslims, and my youngest is a seriously practicing buddhist. I get along fine with religious folks.

yeah my parents are pretty cool... they have seen almost every major label you could think of in person. You name it Santanna, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, We went and saw Van Halen twice at the savemart center in fresno with Hagar then David lee. We saw the Steve Miller band last year. We have tickets to AC/DC in a couple of months....

I guess I got lucky... it sure made high school fun.

Rock, Jazz, Classic Country, Folk, Jam bands it really doesn't matter,
but nothing helps the soul like good old Rock n' Roll

I'm a vinyl collector. have at least 9 or 10 Tull albums.

Music and Motor Bikes are my life (+my family).

My first ten albums were Beatles studio albums. And because of their progression thru Rock 'n Roll, I also progressed into Floyd, Hendrix, Zeppelin, and so on. Further on down the road I took to the folk music. I am a huge Bob Dylan fan. Seen him many times. He's one of the guys who started out great, lost his way, and has now found his acoustic groove again. Also a big CSNY fan. What I wouldn't give to have been around in the 70's when all of these bands were touring. But then again, I would have probably been into something long gone at that time, like Duke Ellington, Billy Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald (all of which I am a fan).

If any of you guys have some vinyl you'd like to pass on, let me know. I collect everything from classical music to today. 78, 45, and 33-1/3. Everything.
