RH Mirror Installation

On my 2008 NE5, it appears that the hole for mounting the RH mirror is NOT threaded! Does anyone know the thread size so I can tap the hole to mount a mirror? Thanks.

I think the right mirror threads are left handed threads, and I think it is pipe threads.

Quenton is correct, they are left hand threads. I think they might be 8mmx1.25 size. Everything else on the new Whizzers is metric.

Thanks, Quenton! It screwed right on, when screwed in the proper direction - DUH! Looks like I am going to have a LOT of education on this little bike!

yeah, i did not figure this out and tapped mine out thinking the threads were worn, so no rh mirror for me now

The previous owner of my Whizzer drilled out the threads and mounted mirrors that locked down with a nut on the bottom. Fortunately he left enough metal to tap and heli-coil the correct metric threads. I used left side mirrors on both sides of my handlebars. It works just fine.
