54 year old bike nut built livefast motors bike kit 4 stroke 38 cc ohv haushengtai shan chain drive bike. put on giant mountain bike. put on many miles this year. ptoblem with slippage of clutch. any suggestions 2oo lb rider. i expect clutch was for lighter person. i can get 40 mph but a slight wind will bring me to a halt. leave me some feedback.

Sorry I don't have any kind of answer for you. I'm not familiar with that motor.

But someone will come along with something.

well -- hope that your clutch is adjusted right
if not it's probably to late for that one

always when clutch is released -- should at least be a little slack in cable

as we ride those things

49cc sorry about that. clutch is standard centrifugal 49cc clutch no adjustment

I am also sorry about that Roger
I just took it for granted that you had a standard clutch

anyway -- time to pull an inspection of your centrifugal clutch
maybe a spring broke -- popped off or worn someTHING out

I also at this time have a centrifugal set up
I try to go easy on it with the take offs from stop
and help it up hills
trying not to have excessive slipping

don't want to wear that thing out
