Let's hope the GOP sticks to it's basic principles and the ticket is Palin-Ryan in 2016.

DUH, because it's an open forum. If you think a dullard like Palin can effect change for the better, best of luck with that.If you want people from other countries to stop commenting on american stuff, please start with Piers Morgan.

Bad mouthing Sarah Palin. Not at all. Just look at her "on the record" comments, as many of the other comments from politicians from both sides of the political spectrum.
The article isn't entirely factual but Palin has said enough (as have politicians from both sides of politics) to raise eyebrows regarding worldly competency.

In Australia, our Prime Minister Julia Gillard has been horrendously damaging to the country. Never before in the history of Australian politics has a (left wing) political leader been so unpopular and created so much damage to the country.
Having said that the previous (right wing) Prime Minister has also been damaging to the country, but doing so by hyper inflating the economy and stripping funding from social services; effectively enslaving a new generation in levels of personal debt that makes the eyes water, whilst presenting an image of prosperity.

It doesn't matter which side of politics you align yourself with, in the end it's just an illusion to give the ordinary person a sense of choice, but each time you're simply voting for the same people because they all work in an oligarchical system, having skillfully killed off the mechanisms of a functional republic in America, yet presenting an image of democracy.

The word "politics" is easily explained when breaking it down into it's component parts: "poly" - meaning 'many' and "ticks" - meaning 'a parasite' which contributes nothing to it's host.

Give some of Sarah Palin's "on the record comments"? And no, idiot Tina Fey blathering on SNL will not suffice.

The entire article was satire, and you fell for it as factual, nuff said as to your worldly competency. The Daily Currant is all satire, all the time. But satire is not everyone's forte, some people require outright sarcasm for comprehension.

    @ Tanstaafl

Your bitterness must be an acquired taste; which poison chalice did you drink from?

This thread (as much as you think otherwise) is not drawn upon political ideology, rather the humor derived from those seeking to create sectarian division along political lines, manifested through the illusion of a government giving the public an option to vote at the ballot box.

    Red or blue
    Labour or Liberal
    Progressive or conservative
    Left or the right

It is just an illusion to contain your anger and defuse it on election day.

Politicians throughout history have never worked in the interests of the people, but only for the money men.

As George HW Bush so famously said: "If the people knew what we had done, they would chase us down the street and lynch us."

The US government today is run by a gang of AINO (American in name only) politicians of all stripes and faceless bureaucrats with their own anti-American agendas.
