I am going with the 2 stroke now too. I would rather have the four stroke but the gearbox problems nixed that. I specced out all the stuff needed to make a DKW mini-replica. I'm gonna try to build a fiberglass tank that fits over the top bar like this:

Its actually "right" because DKW's were 2 strokers. The one pictured was 125cc.

I love that build your looking for the DKW mini-replica. Did you ever find a tank to fit over the bars? I am wondering if the Harley "peanut tank" would do the job? Do you have any links to the DKW mini-replica?....Dan

Hua Sheng 4 strokes

Bicycle-Engines.com sells just the engine alone....but they are out of the kits......Hope the kit you bought has the right gearbox...otherwise you're screwed.
