I recently acquired a springer fork from my friend. It will not fit through my frame :( oh well.
What are my options here? aside from obviously getting a frame that it fits into.

its one of the generic ones with 4 arms and a bolt through the down tube. would one be able to put the down tube of another fork on it? Hmmmmm

is it too big to fit or too floppy to work? either way you can get adapters

Sure.. They sell threaded and nonthreaded 1" and 1 1/8" steering tubes. Or if you weld.. Weld what ya need or do as Butre suggested .

  5. Monark much to my dismay uses flimsy aluminum tape to shim/center the lower bearing cup.
No provision made for the upper. It is good I have a machine shop, I am going to make shims from 4140 prehard.
then red Loctite for a durable installation.
