I recently acquired a springer fork from my friend. It will not fit through my frame :( oh well.
What are my options here? aside from obviously getting a frame that it fits into.

its one of the generic ones with 4 arms and a bolt through the down tube. would one be able to put the down tube of another fork on it? Hmmmmm

Sure.. They sell threaded and nonthreaded 1" and 1 1/8" steering tubes. Or if you weld.. Weld what ya need or do as Butre suggested .

Monark much to my dismay uses flimsy aluminum tape to shim/center the lower bearing cup.
No provision made for the upper. It is good I have a machine shop, I am going to make shims from 4140 prehard.
then red Loctite for a durable installation.
