Sprocket bolt pattern too small for hub?

I just got my bike engine kit in today (66cc), and I when I started assembling the back wheel, the bolts are not able to fit through straight, and this makes it impossible for me to get everything all tightened up. I was watching a video from BikeBerry, and I noticed that they had a sprocket that had "chicago-style" bolt holes for the screws, and I was wondering where I could buy one of those. I can give dimensions if needed.

pics would help - some kits are coming in with the rubbers a bit too small, but they can be drilled out a bit to fit

What bike are you converting???...Some 29" rims can't be used with the standard sprocket supplier in these kits...

most kits should fit that easily if wheel has 36 spokes
