I have a beach cruiser schwinn and the sprocket from my kit doesn't fit onto the wheel. the wheel is not an original schwinn wheel, I got it from an old junked bike. Do I need to get a single sprocket, pedal brake schwinn wheel?

There are many possible solutions depending on the exact problem. Why exactly will it not fit?

most often than not, with coaster brake hubs (if thats what yours is), the sprocket hole needs to be enlarged to 1 1/2". any larger than that, and you'll prolly run into centering problems. and grind the edges of the dust cap off.
