Stage 3 and Honda GXH50 question

Hello,
I purchased a gearbox stage 3. My problem is the Honda GXH50 keyed shaft key groove is to large it seems so I thought the key was supposed to float while not being firmly attached to the shaft. I was wrong.
Do I need a special key or is it needed to be attached another way.
Other then that it runs fine.
I took my bike out today to test stuff and the key slips out were the clutch geos.
Can you give me some advice please?

I have 3 smaller keys a little wider that seem to need a little work with the dremal.
Should be ok.

There is a adapter key from 1/8 to 3/16 to match different size keyways, it's important to have a tight fit. Hope thats what you need, bearing places stock these

Yes it is.
I would hate to be out there on the road and have to scrape it on the concrete to get it to fit.
