Hey Everyone, I am Joe Guidi from San Diego. I am building a Vintage Iron Felt Bike with a 58cc engine. I was tightening down the head studs with new U.S. made studs from SBP and stripped the inside thread on one of them... oh i am bunned. I immediately put some JB weld in there and hope to be able to tighten it down tomorrow. Does anyone think that will work. I already did a bunch of other work to the engine. I appreciate input. Thanks.

JB Weld won't cut it, heat is what loosens it, and those bolts get hot.

You should either retap and drill, or use a helicoil kit.

Welcome to MBc Guidi! I definitely want to see your felt pics when it's finished!

Agreed! Same thing happened to me. I took mine to a machine shop and had them helicoil six bolt holes. Definitely the route to go.
