Tanaka 47"R" engines

    I have two for sale at $150 each, or $250 for the pair ............ both used and run well...... ones currently on my Tri-ped that I wanna convert to electric, so I'm selling them.

    for those of you still looking......I'm going to check with my son tommorow and see what he has left for Tanaka engines and if he's going to be selling them...but for now these two are sold.....thankyou Bruce

    I knew those 47rs wouldn't last long, they're hard to find in good running condition.

    I hooked up the 47r I bought from Racie35 to one of my 2 friction drive bikes.
    I adjusted the carb back to the stock settings then tweaked it a bit.
    I took it for a few test drives just around my block & decided the change the friction roller from the 1.25" to the 1.5".
    The 1.25" worked well for the Tanaka 32cc but the 1.5" was too tall for the 32cc.
    My Tanaka 40cc has the extra power to pull the 1.5" perfectly & now I'm looking forward to test driving the 47r with the 1.5"
    I'll create a new thread once I get time to put a few miles on the 47r w/ 1.5" roller.
    I ran out of daylight today so wont get to test drive the modified setup till early this week.

    lol.....out till dark trying to squeeze in a swap!......been there plenty of times ...I wanted to get a video on my vimeo today of the whizzer but its been too cold to play outside and my wife wouldnt film it......I dont undertsand the roller thingy but im guessing thats a gear change of sorts?

    Switching drive rollers from the 1.25" to 1.5" changes the gearing.
    I get an increase in speed by about 6 mph.
    ThatsDax sells both sizes for the friction kits he sells.
