the Grubee engines don't allow any timing adjustment so for them there is no "setting" to do.

What about raising or lowering the jug with the gaskets?

Mention of the word "timing" by people who aren't engine tuners is more commonly in reference to ignition timing, not port timing. Ignition timing of motorcycles is easily adjustable by their unskilled owners, but not port timing.
