Coming from the motorcycle world, I'm accustomed to having "spares" onboard; spark plugs, tire patches and levers, spare tube, tape, tools, etc. for road side repairs.
I don't think an underseat pouch or a handlebar bag would hold what I want. I looked at small metal tool boxes, but couldn't find anything that would fit on the rear rack. The smallest of tool boxes was still too large.
I settled on the box pictured below, to be strapped securely onto my rear rack. Appropriate ? Kinda/hardly. But it makes me smile every time I look at it, and it actually holds quite a bit !
