Turn signal flasher

Hello, while working on the wiring I took the signal flasher out and put it aside and promply stepped on it rendering it useless.
I would like to know if I have to use a "Whizzer" flasher or can I use a generic one from the auto store. On the flasher it says, 12v 8-23Wx2 Max. AFCS JIN-Yl and it's a SUPER WINKER...thanks

Whizzer 58, I think you have your answer within your question. All you need to find at the auto parts store is one with the same rating: 12v 8-23Wx2 Max.
Although I could be wrong, I sincerely doubt the Whizzer one is of a proprietary design.
