The differences between the 48cc and the 66cc are the cylinder, the head and the piston. Not sure about the rest of the engine, but I knows that these are all different between the 2 models.

i just changed a 49cc over to a 80cc used all the same stuff to mount the new motor took less than a hour.. i was thinking at first i would just swap cylinders piston and heads but it did'nt work that way the bore and stroke are different even the studs are different size and distance between them to hold it all together is different

Just for reference they are 48cc and 66cc no matter what the web site you bought it on claims.

You can't 'upgrade' a 48 to a 66, just swap the 48cc engine out for a bare 66cc, all the rest of the parts are compatible.

Of course you could just put on a tuned expansion chamber exhaust and NGK spark in the 48cc and get it darn close to a 66cc's performance.
