Where can you buy the 80cc slant head

Well, I just got off the phone with zoom bicycles. This is the second time I've called them. I didn't bother leaving a messages because the last time I left them a message they didn't call me back. Their website still says they're out of the slant head. I'm tired of holding my breath.

At the time of this writing, This thread has had 654 views. I don't know if that's from 654 different people or not but, that tells me a lot of people are interested in buying a slant head. In fact, I'll bet the first business to get posted here, that has the head in stock, will be sold out within a couple days.

I don't get it. Here it is the 15th of September, just shy of a month from the first post, and zoom bicycles still hasn't got their slant head in stock. Actually, they've been sold out longer than that. I noticed they were sold out a week or two before I first posted this. The problem is you can't find it anywhere. I'm singling out zoom bicycles because if you search on google, practically every result says they got their head from zoom bicycles. I'm going to email them and see if I can find out what's going on. I'm going to point out this thread to them too and maybe it will get their attention.

Well- hate to break the news. I talked to zoom again yesterday about the heads. The rep told me they are looking into it and said there was a manufacturing problem from the supplier. He said the manager is talking to the supplier but they usually only get shipments about 1x a month so it would be a few weeks.

You aren't missing out on much. My last 2 slant heads were warped causing head gasket leaks. Just wanted to share so if you get one you may wish to check it out.

I've decide to give this thread a bit of an update. I did some more searching and this is what I've come up with.

None of the sponsoring vendors carry the slant head. All of the following places carry them but are sold out:

Zoom Bicycles:
http://www.zoombicycles.com/eShop/P...over-80cc-Slant-Head-Cylinder-Cover-A-2B.html

C.C. Motor Bicycles:
http://www.ccmotobikes.com/node/8 (it doesn't say they're sold out until you add it to the shopping cart)

Gas Bike Shop:
http://www.gasbikeshop.com/index.ph...ategory_id=23&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=55

Boy Go Fast
http://stores.ebay.com/BoyGoFast__W0QQ_sacatZboygofastQQ_sidZ21817864?_nkw=slant+head&submit=Search

The only place that seems to have it is

Rock Solid Bicycle Engines:

http://shop.rocksolidengines.com.au...category_id=15&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1

However they want too much money. All their stuff is WAY overpriced.

For instance, here is a billet intake manifold from pirate cycles for $11.00
http://www.piratecycles1.com/pobiin.html

Here is the identical piece from rock solid for $35.00

There's a thread in "wild in the streets" about high compression heads. They talk about using a cylinder head from a 70cc puch moped
http://www.motoredbikes.com/showthread.php?t=12879

The link to the cylinder head speedracer831 said he used:
https://www.1977mopeds.com/product/1908/Puch-70cc-High-Comp-Kstar-Head/

At this point I'm either going to get the puch head (I'm waiting for a confirmation from speedracer831 to make sure it works good) or else go with rock solid. Both heads are around $30 and the puch head has way bigger cooling fins so if it works good, that's what I'm going to use.
