Our Whizzer throttle cable metal jacket has come loose from the assembly which screws onto the top of the carburetor, therefore it has no idle speed. You have to hit the kill switch to slow down and then restart it to keep going. Does anyone know a quick fix for this?

You could solder or weld (with an aluminum rod) it shut & drill it out to the size you need. If you need a lip on the bottom, Just drill a small hole first & then don't drill all the way through with your bigger bit.

Are you reffering to the tab located under one of the head bolts? The "H" & "J" motors used 2 small cable mounting tabs that attached under the corner head bolts, whereas the later models used a plate between the carburetor and the cylinder to attach the control cables.

    Either part is available.

    Have fun,
