Whizzer thumb decompression lever

I am trying to figure out this decompression lever.. I can't find any info on it online. I know it needs the spring loaded decompression release ever which is installed... But it seems like the standard wire doesn't want to work in the handle end. Is there a different wire or am I missing something?

I just put the compression release lever & cable on my Pacemaker & it works perfect.
