MM, you left out the option for not voting. I said "No", but only because I wouldn't waste my time voting.

It would seem you've chosen a path of non involvement, which begs the question, why are you wasting your time in the CC?

I like the funny reading material. You will notice that I do not step into the Political debates. Simply waiting for a good religious one. Not every thread in the CC has to be political. i.e. the "show me you boogar contest" and fav. curse words. So I will continue to waste my time in the CC if you don't mind.

    And I'm the exact opposite!

Keeping on topic, I would not vote for Obama today. Didn't vote for him last November. Won't vote for him in 2012 if he keeps on the same course towards a European socialist society.

nope... I knew what the democrats were after this time when I heard hilary give a speech on "shared prosperity". I knew right there that we were in trouble.

No. I am not hating on him though.

He is what the people wanted.

The young people that put him in office, their kids and grandkids will have to work long and hard into their old age to just begin to pay for what they did.

I kinda think it was hate of GWB that got Obama in.

The people have a huge price to pay for that hate.

They forgot who voted in GWB. The people.

Of course I wouldn't have voted for him. My vote was wasted on him like it is & probly will be for EVERY election that we use the electoral college. My vote will always turn to a Republican vote, because that's how my state votes EVERY election.

I will be voting 3rd party no matter what until a 3rd party candidate receives 5% of the popular vote so that they may receive funding and get to enter the televised debates next go-round, or until we get rid of the electoral college and enact something like Instant Runoff Voting.

It's a damm shame that the "greatest country in the world", the "freest country in the world"... I still can't vote for who I want. I have to strategically vote around who everybody else is voting for.

Do I think Obama will do a better job than McCain? Of course.

same thing that happened to me in my state... I voted republican but the d a m n thing turned democrat in the process. Wanna trade states?

I'm voting for Obama from now on, I got hired by ACORN today! I'll be the official consultant to pimps looking for income tax evasion information. Should be a pretty sweet gig, the best part is, all you jerks out there working and paying taxes, will be paying my salary. I got hired out of the $8,500,000,000 that Acorn got in the stimulus bill that the APOLLO group wrote.

Mountainman... who would you propose to be a better leader of our country than Obama?

Do you have a list of people?

If we had Instant Runoff Voting, my list would be like this:

    (1) Ron Paul
    (2) Dennis Kucinich
    (3) Bill Richardson
    (4) Fred Thompson
    (5) Barack Obama

Barack was #4 on my list until he lied about a couple things, like wiretapping for starters. He's not gonna give us universal health insurance, which is a damm shame. And I think he said he'd end the war in Iraq within 18 months, but I highly doubt that'll happen. PULL THOSE MOTHERS OUT, ALREADY!! Don't need to fix any frickin' pottery barns... just say we're sorry and start anew.

Sparky, you're gonna be surprised by this, I certainly am but Fred Thompson was my first choice in the 2008 election.

ron paul is the only one on that list I would vote for.

Not surprised at all. Between Ron Paul an him, the rest of the Repubs were not conservative by any means. I just don't understand the mainstream Republicans whatsoever.

If the choice today were between Obama and McCain, I'd vote Obama. If it were between Al Sharpton and McCain, I'd vote Sharpton. If it were between Obama and Paul, I'd vote Paul.

Really, before any of them, I'd vote to nuke D.C.
