You'll find the kit is only slightly higher than the motor....stinks I know, but that's the way it seems to be. What type of motor are you looking for, the cheapest you can find or something alittle better??? I just bought a kit today from usabikemotors.com and they have the new motors, the good motors. I got the all chrome 50cc for $155.00 plus $30.00 to ship. This was an expensive engine compared to the others they had....chrome rasied the price. These are the GruBee Gen II engines and not the King motors that Boy Go Fast sells on E-bay. I bought one last year from BGF and had all kinds of problems. Head casting developed a hole, clutch frooze up, clutch arm broke, had to replace all the screws/bolts...stipped VERY easy, but that's to be expected. Then the pull start is complete junk. Cord breaks after 10 pulls. I'm hopeing the "new" motor is better. Check them out. Good-Luck.
