I would say that this is probably the best entry level kit out there no matter what it is always a trade off . There are better ways to do it in my opinion . However you need to get some riding time before you move into other systems . You can get hurt if your not careful. Get some time under your belt and then I'll show you some cool stuff.

Yea. I looked around and it was the best i could find. I want to keep it under 49cc b/c thats enough power for me and im not sure how much the law allows, or if there is even a law about them...

This is pretty much as good as they get, unless you get a genuine Honda motor. The kit components are the best available as of right now.

yeah. I like the kits because that way i dont have to run around and look for parts and be sure that they will work for what i have. Thanks for your help.

I have that exact kit- the terms "as good as they get" is accurate. The basics are very right about this kit. However, you will have to tinker to get everything lined up and working right. If I were you, I would replace all the nuts and bolts with quality hardware store pieces (grade 5 is fine).

Once you get everything right- it works quite well. I have the Honda engine, but I have heard that the "tribute" engine (aka clone) is well made- but it is not rated at as high peak hp or for as high peak rpm.

There is information about eliminating the engine governor and building a throttle linkage when you get to that point.

Thanks for your help. replacing the nuts and bolts sounds like a good idea. i wouldnt want the whole motor falling off while im on the bike.

@Andrew
That complete kit is very good value for money and should last u a long time with no trouble.Bicycle-Engines.com is a member here and has a good reputation.The whole setup can be improved though by purchasing their mounting kit ONLY and using a genuine Honda GXH50 engine.
Boost Bottle Industries(also a member) said they were looking into doing that(Honda+Grubee kit) but i don't know if they've gotten around to it yet.

I'm waiting for a Hummer V twin

It shouldn't be long now before Hummer bring out a v twin armoured bicycle with a 50 gallon tank on the rear rack and all wheel drive. Global warming just needs to hot up a bit to provide the market incentive.
