Hi recumpence,

I am blown away with your conversion it is fantastic. I have one of these http://www.pdq.tv/powertrike_mk1 would your setup do the same job, I mean replace the motor etc.

Sorry I cannot get my head around using a little motor so I am just asking to get it straight in my head, please don't think I am being rude.

Hey Guys!

Thanks for the welcome. I was unsure about posting here because this seems to me mostly a gas conversion forum. But, hey, we all love custom bikes! :D

Anyway, the motor I am using is small in size, but huge in performance. To be honest, it will probably be too much power for the rear spokes to cope with. The HP rating is roughly 6hp. But, the torque of this setup is far higher than the hp rating would suggest. I have seen a few others use RC motors with great success. But, I have never seen this much power being used.

Anyway, I am not finished with it yet. I am working hard on it, though!

Hey, I like your tag line. I couldn't agree more. it is good to see people posting their beliefs for all to see.

Oh, I am in Illinois, near Chicago.

Welcome to MBc. I'll be watching your build with interest. Any guesstimate on the probable range per charge? If you're worried about the spokes on your wheel, check with the Wheelmaster. He laced my dual freewheel hub with 10g spokes. It works and looks great, though the beefy look of it might not fit your vision on this project.

P.S. IMO the MotoredBike movement needs more inovative designs like yours. New frames, configurations and components.
