Hi all, well I finally started my bike build.

Its all going pretty straight forward so far. Have to figure out the chain tensioner yet, as the frame does a funky angle where it needs to be and wont fit.

Also tried the crush method on the front tube till I decided it was a really bad idea, so stopped. I made a 5mm plate up to adapt the front mount and it did a good job.

I am building the complete bike up to test point, then intend to strip it back down to tidy everything up and replace all bolts and loctite the lot.

Its been a fun day.

Sorry mate, had to go for a third ride :D

I have decided that the old seat from my racer was too **** hard, so have put the cheapie one that came with the bike on till I get a nicely padded one.

Apart from that it went quite well.

Piccies attached ;):):D

Quite a neat job...looks like u need to secure the muffler,& with Warrens Zbox engine u should have many 1000's of HT K's in front of you.
Go easy with the run-in cos it's gonna be really gutless/inconsistant for a little while(300Km)
Well done man.

Nice build :)

I've been thinking of doing the same thing with a ubolt on the bottom mount at some stage.

fetor56 & Simon_A, we should organize some sort of Adelaide ride sometime :)

Agreed,

we need to organise it, weather will be the thing, and it needs to be far enough ahead for all of the SA members to arrange the free time.

Sort of a hard thing to juggle, the longer we leave it the worse the weather will be.

But it would be good to meet the SA members here and look at everyones bikes and have a good chat over a hot coffee or two.
