Best 2 stroke oil recommendation?

I've heard of Castor Oil- not the choice for me, but which pre-mix oil brand would be the best choice?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Dennis of GoldenEagle bike engines prefers
Lucas SemiSynthetic 2 stroke oil. I just bought a gallon of it today.
LUCAS is located in Corona, CA and they have a website.

I'm using the cheap non synthetic oil during break in as it helps to break in the engine. I'm starting to mix in Castrol synthetic oil though. I use oil at 16-1 ratio. I know an awful lot of people will say thats to rich, but personally I always say the more you use the more performance you'll get, the cooler your engine will run and thus the longer it will last. It is a good trade off for having to decarbonize more often.

I used dino oil for break in of two tanks. I think it's important to run the throttle a third of the way in for 15 min, then let it cool for 15... run it two-thirds of the way for 15 min, let it cool for another 15... run it WOT for 15 min, let it cool for another 15. I also think letting the engine warm up and not going WOT immediately after cranking will help the engine out.

Anyway... I'm using Klotz Super Techniplate as most dirt bikers seem to think that and Maxima Castor 927 are the best. It's 80% synthetic / 20% castor. Both of those oils seem to be better than dino, but synthetic seems to be a tad bit better than castor, but castor still has its benefits... so a 4/1 ratio of syn/castor seems good enough for me. Rocky Mountain ATV seems like the cheapest place to buy the 2 brands mentioned above.

Beware that some people believe that once a jug of castor oil is opened, it's only good for a week or two. I dunno if I believe this or not, but I might be switching to Amsoil as I just found out a friend sells the stuff. He also says that no petroleum goes into Amsoil, which I thought all synthetics used oil as a base stock... but since Amsoil *was* the first syn oil manufacturer, maybe they do have it figured out to where they don't need any petroleum.

Ok I am going to open a can of worms, I have many 2 stroke airplane engines, 1800.00 motors dessert aircraft, I met the owner of dA, he recomends aimsoil 100:1 and said mix it 100:1 any more and you r just wasting the oil and building up harmful deposits, carbon to be exact. yes there is a lot of other good oils out there. I run echo oil in my blower and its got over a hundred gallons threw it mixed at 50:1.

It's worth noting that motorcycle engines are different to weed wacker engines, lawnmower engines ETC because they work under so much more load. They are not cooled as well as weed wacker engines because they do not have a fan, just cooling fins.

The reason that lawnmower and weed wacker engines use such low oil amounts is that for the average person who isn't mechanically inclined a fouled plug may aswell be a seized engine, for most people if it don't start they either take it to get repaired or buy a new one.

What no Penzoil ashless because some ultralite pilots use it. Sacrilege. Turn in your AMA card.

Any oil is good in a rc engine. I even use Cruel power. so called because it is only synthetic and quickly destroys an air cooled engine. Just use enough added oil .

Many, many folks run Amsoil SABER at 100:1 in their RC planes. Guess what? Several engine/plane kit manufacturers recommend SABER 100:1. I sell cases to these folks. Not one has come back with a complaint.

Indeed even Saber 50:1 is some string trimmers might be too oil rich.

Saber in the China 49cc-67cc engines at 30:1 is quite oil rich. It still won't smoke, but you may get a some oily spooge. 35:1-40:1 is about right when the engine is broken in.

PS I give a price break for motoredbikers. :D

Please POST the prices of your oil here

Pablo please POST the Motored Bikes .com prices of your oil here.
and shipping.
Thanks in advance.

Pablo is your oil the equivalent of "Coopers Plus C oil" if so let me order some ?

Just like Castor but you use a fraction of the percentage ,like half, for the same protection.

I was told some time ago I couldn't "advertise" such things in threads. But I will see what I can do in the sponsor section.

I would say Saber close to Cooper's "All Synthetic Formulas" or Cooper's "Plus and Plus-C" formulas.

I use Gnu/Linux with a hosts file, beefy firewall rules a small http server to serve bs to hackers, and finally a port protector.
I have never been able to use your website.
Possibly because of the netblock.
