Hey everyone, I'm new to the idea of motor bicycling, but am excited to start. I've been looking to an alternative to a car, and this seems like the way to go! I live in Portland, Oregon (which if I read correctly makes me like the 11th, or 12th member from Oregon). I don't have a lot of mechanical experience but like to experiment, so this should be fun....

Welcome to the forum! This is a great place with many nice people. Everyone here is very nice and very helpful. Have fun reading and looking around and when you are ready, join on in. If you have a question, try doing a search first to see if it's already been asked and if you don't find what you are looking for then fire away and I'm sure someone will be glad to help you. Welcome!

Welcome! I'm in East Gresham (the nice part). Good to see more PNW'ers here.
Gresham has a nice part?

Just joking. Seriously, if one MUST live in metropolitan Portland, east Gresham wouldn't be too bad. Are you near the Mt.Hood CC campus?

Portland is probably the most bike oriented, bike friendly city on the west coast, so you are in a good place for it. Just keep a change of clothes in a waterproof knapsack - you WILL get rained on/deluged by cagers hitting puddles.

HA! Yes, we live off of Orient Dr. near Palmquist... right on the border of Boring.

Welcome all and PRAY for sun! dangit I'm sick of the rain!

Hey welcome Oregon. I lived in Portland for about 2 years. Man it was beautiful up there but growing up in So. Cal. I'd never seen it rain like that. Took me about a year to dry out after I left. <LOL>

My wife and I currently live in Portland, but we are actually moving out to Gresham this week. We'll be moving right across the street from the Mount Hood Campus (so we can go to school). I work out in Milwaukee though, so this bike kit is going to be awesome for me.
