Gebe?

i agree, & the best i can do is to confirm that you're right about the home-team being swamped. i can also tell you that everything seems to be going well, tho...everyone's getting their stuff. it's not a matter of supply, but of manpower...as kits are assembed & packed they're going out.

dunno what else to say...i feel ya...does that help?

They told me they lacked throttle cables (?) and would have to wait until Friday to send it out (that was last Friday!). They charged my card and I have not heard from them since. I am not that nerveous though because they seem to have a solid reputation. If we go into next week with no word I may start worrying.
It is a drag though because i would like to start riding, and if they are this busy it may be hard to get help if I run into trouble:-/, and the support is why I choose them.

yes, as a customer i don't like it when my seller drops out of communication, either...when we last spoke, the guys were busy as heck but still in production. it so happens i'm affected by the whole deal, too...don is waiting for his new kit to be delivered thru me, so torques i totally relate. i, like everyone else, had no idea they were socked in by bad weather. so, last nite i get a call explaining everything, every kit and part they had onhand has been assembled, packed, & then shipped after the weather broke. every order that can be filled has been sent on it's way. the storm & power outage left a gap in their supply, and their communications.

golden eagle got busy, it happens. then the storm hit, well, it happens, too. the way dennis related the story on the phone tells me he's just as po'd about events as his customers. he made comments like "ever hear of hand-tools?" when he was told the manufacturer couldn't get his parts out because of the outage.

altho the delay may be getting to you, don't "worry"...noone is ripped off, and noone will be left standing in the cold over support & service. anyone who's ever dealt with them in the past knows this, too. some of these comments are just steam blowing off, i know...but your concerns will be forgotten as the gebe team gets caught up & you get back on the road.

To give an example, my customer (the order that is waiting for two weeks now) just told me today his father in law wants a kit too. But my customer told him to wait to see how this order works out. To say the least he is starting to get frustrated because I cannot get answers to emails or phone messages. This is the sort of thing that move people towards the competition. He may steer his fil to another drive system I have access to if this doesn't change like right now. I'm as frustrated as he is. Funny thing, is the last order I had with them, the same sort of delay occurred.

Don't get me wrong, I am a died hard GEBE guy. I have bought like seven systems in the last 16 months. I like the folks there at GEBE personally but with a two week or more turn-a-round, I think I am going to steer my potential customers elsewhere until things improve over there. I can't afford to have 5 GEBE systems on hand.

GEBE has been a good kit for me. It's worth the wait. Fair and honest people.
I just need a better bike. The four stroke 35cc is the stuff!

I Love riding this thing.

glad i found this chat, i just ordered some new parts as my bike had fallen over and bashed up my throttle cable, i put the order in on Wednesday and had not heard back. I knew something must be up because when i first bought the kit a couple of months ago julia would reply to my every email within the hour.

I forgot about the weather in that part of the country, i pray for everyone out their, i just cant imagine watching your home been destroyed by floods, tornado's etc, my in-laws live in Arkansas's, tornado alley country but thankfully i have never been that close to one.

In the mean time thanks for the heads up augi and i will rig up a brake cable to use as a throttle and hope dennis and julia get back on top of things asap...
