Reliability of 4 cycle clutch and gearboxes

If you do get a new one.. get the upgraded clutch bell from the new gearboxes, they apparently fixed that problem in the newer boxes.

That's good to know but I think the poor suckers who bought the Mark1 model deserve a refund or at the least a free Mark2 model. The bell housing breaking is totally unacceptable.

but do the new clutch bells fit in the old JL gearbox?
because the clutch bell sproket teeth on the new gearbox at http://www.bicycle-engines.com/centrifugal-clutch-p-123.html, look to big for the old JL sproket.

That link is for the Grubee Huangsheng and the JL Hoot engine is different shaft size and I'm nearly certain that the clutch shown on that link couldn't fit on the Hoot kits engine.

Does any one know were I could find a new or used JL hoot clutch and clutch cover.
because my clutch cover broke and my clutch has less grip, it has ground down so need to replace them both.

I should have included the Staton in the original post. I used to overlook Statons because I though they were way to expensive, but since the prices of the others have gone up, or the others are unavailable, Staton is back in the running.
