For Sale 15T and 16T GEBE style pulleys

i did some experimenting with gearing on my GEBE /GP460 to see what would happen to mileage, accell. and topend.

bought several timing belt pulleys and now will sell 2 of them. these are pulleys for 9mm wide, 5mm HTD pitch gates belts (GEBE)

the 15T pulley has been drilled and tapped @ 5/16" X 24 thread and goes straight on the GEBE drive spindle. this is a polycarbonate pulley with an alum. center hub.

the 16T is all allum. and will need to be tapped to be used.

both shipped to you for $25.00 total.

got something of motorbike interest you want to trade ? lets talk.

thanks,
steve

the cogs themselves work out well, they are the proper width and pitch for the belt.

how much lowend loss is pretty subjective. with the 15T the lowend was still ok, but the ratio made it hard to maintain rpm's on hills and against headwinds.

on my GP460 setup each tooth is 2.5mph at topend, and about 600rpm diff. per the same speed.

JemmaUK,

i dedicated the 15T to you when you had hopes of making your U.S. trip. you can have the 16T too if you think it will help you, but, what are you going to try to run it on ?

my GP460 will do alright with the 15T over varied terrain, i give up some rpms and speed over hills that i don't with the 14T. on level gound i can either run 600rpm slower or 2.5 mph faster depending on desires.

i've never tried the 16T, it would need to be tapped for threads. it's probably not good for much other than level ground ultimate speed attempts.

PM me and we'll work out how to get them to you.

Sorry, my brain is a little out there at the moment. There is so much going around in my head. I remember you telling me but so many things are flying in and out of my head.

My reasoning for the 16T is as follows. When I had the non-piped engine with a 13 I did the worst hill here at a final speed of 20mph. If I open the engine right up now I can do the same hill at 28mph. if the top end speed increase is 2.5mph per tooth and the loss of hillclimbing speed is roughly equal then I should have a final velocity on the same hill of 22mph - thats still in the engines powerband.

If I take a 13T, 15T, 16T on the run in the US then I should have a gear for pretty much all conditions :)
