Tires Airfree Tire Review

Thanks, $100 for not having to worry about a flat and being late for work is well worth it!
WOW! Major typo in my previous post! Sorry LOL

B.K., I've never used the Walmart inner-tube inserts, so I don't know. Airfreetires makes their own brand of inner-tube inserts. What I've read at Airfreetires is that the insert has to fit the tire perfectly. It can't be too big or it won't fit inside the tire, and it can't be too small, or it'll just wobble inside the tire and the tire warps and comes off.

Thanks for that review Mark. I found their site a few weeks ago and wondered how well they worked. Since then, I have had two more flats to deal with! Grrrrr

Is anyone still interested in airfree tires? After getting flats almost half of the time I ride, I got disgusted and ordered a set of tires to see if they are worth the effort. I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new set. I wish there were more comments about the fit, quality, and longevity. I wonder about safety as a dismount at 40+ mph downhill could hurt!

I think they would be great for low impact, low speed use on sandy surfaces, but I don't know about running them on MB.

For $40 each, I hope they have some guts! I plan to try some sometime on a pedal bicycle, probably a rainy day beater or fishing bike.

A guy named Duct Taped Goat (banned) said his wore out and fell off.

Some people swear by these though, so I guess time will tell if they are a hot new trend or fringe market.

Mine finally arrived after five weeks of waiting just like advertised. I bought the install tool but easily put the tires on with just my hands. I admit I am strong but this worries me. Will they also come off the rim as easily?
I kinda have a rule about riding under 45 degrees, and have only 3-4 relatively slow 15 -20 mph miles on them. As weather permits I will increase the speed and Put on miles. More discussion to follow.
