I got my first wave from a scooter while riding my motored bike. For weeks I have waved at motorcycles and scooters as they pass, but they never wave back! (If you are on a motorcycle all other motorcycles wave at you)

Today I decided to wear my motorcycle jacket, gloves, AND full face motorcycle helmet. I think that is what got the attention of the scooter.

I am sure I look crazy with all the motorcycle gear on, but that is part of the fun.

yes -- I have noticed that the common wave is at times

different while on a motorized bicycle ---- why ?? I just am not sure

I have went to -- the slight nod and gentle wave

not expecting a return -- but - it's very nice at times

they seem to come when not expected...

ride that thing Mountainman

i was driving the other day and i get waves from almost everyone.. or at least a double take and a laugh or three. haha.. but the other day i was riding and a moped pulled up next to me and wanted to race....

i smoked him haha was great... i accelerated alotn faster and jus took right off. was a great thrill. i saw him later on in the super market and we laughed about it for a while (he was very impressed when i said i made it and cost was a fraction of his)

Usable pedals help a lot!

I dont think most people realize what we're riding until they're almost past us anyways. Could be the cause of so few waves. I had a guy in a massive dodge pickup slow down and check out my ride and honk & wave in approval. It was cool. This was in the middle of the summer so he was probably wishing he had one rather than driving his guzzler around.

i got 3 guys in my street with motorcycles and wen i ride my mb up n down the street they would wave or smile and look at me ride it. One guy just got a motorbike and rides it around the block constantly, he rides next to me when i go down the street then he revs his and i rev mine then he drops the clutch and races off. When where coming opposite ways i wave at him and he waves and nods at me. Another guy on the street has a harley and was just getting on it to go out for a ride, i revved the bike and he revved his and laughed, then when i was riding up the street he raced past me and gave it a few revs. Then the other guy with a motorbike lives a few houses up, he just pulled up in his driveway wen i was riding out, he got off and just stood there for about 5 mins looking at me, when i stopped in my driveway and looked at him he smiled and walked inside his house.

Theres another guy up the road that has a race car, he sits out the front of his house like everyday having a beer sitting in his chair, when i ride up n down the street he watches me ride it around. I think the guys in my street respect me, they probably think a kid like me making a thing like that is amazing.

Its good everyone in my street likes what ive build and dont think im some annoying little kid thats hooning around the streets. All my dads friends that have come over think its amazing and want to build one haha.

Wave

I had an interesting encounter with a MB'er a couple of weeks ago when I was riding my Harley down to the gas station to fill her up. I passed a bike with an engine in the bike lane. As I passed I gave him the low "V" sign and went on my way to fill up the Hog. As I was filling her up I heard this obnoxious sound coming from a bicycle heading toward me. And yes , It was the Kid that I had passed a mile back.
He pulls up and turns off the loud beast and tells me in a very excited screeching voice, " THAT WAS GREAT, A HARLEY RIDER WAVED AT ME " I feel like a real biker now "... It took everything I had not to laugh as I said, " You are Dude, You are " He got a huge smile and said, "THIS IS GREAT" Thanks See Ya !
I said Take Care Dude, and watch out for those crazy drivers. He said "I will Man, I will " And off he went. Then I started laughing...

It was cool to see someone so happy from a such a simple gesture.

Take Care - Jim

When it comes right down to it, a friendly gesture from a stranger is a day brightener.

We'd all be wise to try to give stuff like that out as much as possible.

All the motorbike riders I waved at during the first week except for one just looked at me like I had two opossums copulating on my head when I waved at them. The exception did a double take and gave the biker wave back. I still gave up on waving at them though. Most don't seem to notice that I have a motor and just think I'm retarded.:???:
