Brakes twin brake leaver

I made it from a regular brake lever. Cut a piece of 1/4" aluminum, screwed it into where the cable adjuster goes. Drilled and tapped 2 new holes and put in two new cable adjusters. Then I drilled a hole where the cable end goes, got a piece of steel the same diameter, cross drilled 2 holes in it and ran it through the handle. Kinda a lot of work, especially since you can buy dual pull handles for about $15.

There are two commercially available versions of these that I have tried, the first one looked very similar to the home made ones - very bad, too flimsy for me. The second one I purchased was made by Sunlite - PN 13748 - has a return spring, all cast aluminium - top quality.

Do you mean something like this? I have used this for a long time and I love it. You can actually adjust the amount of bias by preloading the front or rear more depending on if you like more front or more rear brake. It also allows independence so if one cable fails you are not without brakes completely.

that...is effin genius.....absolute effin genius.....

word of warning....i'm stealing that for myself.... it will come in really handy if i end up with a clutch setup
