My first motorized Huffy Cruiser

Here is my first build. It is still in the break in period and the weather has stopped me for now. This is a Huffy Cranbrook cruiser from Walmart and a Powerking 2-cycle motor. It was a fun build and a really fun ride.
Later,
Andy

looks good! If I didn't just buy a MTB I'd get a cranbrook instead.

good looking!! get some 12 gauge spoked wheels & it will be good to go for many miles of service! rock on motoredbiker!!

Drilling out the Rivets

Drill out your rivets and put 10/32 machine screws with a washer on each side of them and loctite them. I put a little JB Weld on and dry it and spray white over the Grey JB after I change it over to machine screws but you dont have to use the JB weld if you dont want ..cause the mach screw (bolt and nut 2 washers) hold well. Like 3 different Huffy Cranbrooks hundreds of miles of logging roads and no returners I also see the bikes and the fenders are still in tack. The one guy I asked he said they are Solid as a rock!

Nice build

I like that bike but how do you stop it on a hill with only a coaster brake? A suspended saddle post would be a good $20 investment. I wish we had WallMart in Oz so I could buy that frame and put an SR Suntour telescopic fork on it with 40mm travel & a front disc so I could stop when I needed to.
We've run clean out of cruiser stock until next March or April so thinks are bleak for motored bikes down here.
Is that saddle as comfortable as it looks?

that is a -- clean looking motor bike

yes -- please -- do take it easy with your speed -- due to no front brake
they sure do come in handy and we wish for you to not get hurt

just one THING possibly needed -- can you add a front brake
anyTHING up front would be better than noTHING

have fun as you ride that THING

I purchased a Huffy Cranbrook Cruiser at Walmart for the purpose of motoring it with a 80cc. Iam 6 foot tall and I didn't like that my knee's came just up and very close to the handle bars. I tried different adjustment to the bicycle but nothing to my satisfaction. I guess I could have returned it for my money back..........any way I made a child very happy that lived down the street that did not have a bicycle, so I gave it away to him after asking his parents if it would be ok. I still have plans for an 80cc bicycle though.
