DOT helmets (and full-time F&R lighting) also serve to placate the law/rescue workers, it could mean the difference between keepin' on or not. in the several thousands of miles we've logged in OP, the only time a rider's gotten pulled over was when his tail-light had blown on a dark rainy night.

you can ebay a nice "shorty" DOT helmet for $30-$40.

ok guys first off who wears the half helms? have you thought of what happens when u fall of ur bike and land on your face? hmm can anyone say reconstructive surgery? sorry boys wear a fullface way better and ill still be pretty when ur all banged up

Exactly why i asked, everything i found is $50 or more, thats DOT approved. I want to find that $20 helmet
