I'm spoiled, *stamps foot and pouts, but I ordered my new engine kit, and FedEx projected that they would deliver it today, Christmas Eve. Yet, although it was sent from Los Angeles, December 19th, it was shipped to Washington state and then back down to Portland Oregon, where it has stuck for the last day and a half, unable to move due to the lengthy record breaking cold, ice, and snow storm. I called FedEx and they stated that they would probably deliver the kit Friday, Dec. 26th.

Considering the seriousness of that storm and the damage to people and property that it caused, I'll just have to wait it out, count my blessings, and study all the good information from people on this forum, and there is a lot of it.

Merry Christmas to all.

Merry Xmas from me. I had a guy today that thought a nail gun that shoots nails into concrete didn't need nails. He thought they were in the little bullett shell. I just shook my head. LOL

Merry Christmas to you, too.

Considering how this winter is coming in like a bull in a china shop, Friday delivery is actually pretty good. But I know that's cold comfort; waiting on an engine is almost torture. I remember it well. But it'll be worth it.

I live about 30 miles south of portland. Good news is it's raining hard right now and the snow is melting and roads clearing up.

I live on the central Oregon coast, several miles south of Newport. At this time its raining and the temperature is in the 40s. Being near the beach we don't get freezing, we just get rust.

JE, can you ride motorized bicycles in Woodburn without getting stopped by the law? I've looked at the laws, and it's hard to figure them out. Obviously, at least to us, motorized bicycles are not mopeds. They're not too much like scooters, either. I've posted on the portion of this forum dealing with laws.

A white Christmas is not so bad, it's the white Easters that I don't like, and I've seen them in the past.

No Problem riding them here i Woodburn. In fact the Police all wave at me when I ride by.

Yeah, JE, but you gotta admit, Woodburn is a weird town. It has been the retirement community of choice for the north valley since the mid 1960's, and the cops there are used to folks in golf carts, modified go-karts and sick lame n' lazy mobility devices all over the streets there.
