A quesiton on clearing customs

I ordered my motor kit from PowerkingShop on eBay and it is currently in customs.
How long can i expect it to stay there?
It's coming from Canada to the US

This is starting to be a recurring theme. I don't know, I read a similar post recently though. Guy had to get a refund 'cause customs returned it to sender.

just curious as to why you would buy it from up here...we get everything from you guys and it is enuf of a pain to get it here and now you want it back?

At least the second person to repeat this. Other guys got their money back and no engines. Stopped and confiscated at customs.

I agree, Canada gets most of their stuff via the USA, so why hassle it?

It was the best deal i could find. $130 shipped and the motor has a cool looking black paint job.
I dont see why it should get hung up in customs tho.

Purchased on e-bay and paid with pay-pal.
I talked to UPS and they said that it is being held by the US government for inspection and 'should' be released shortly. It has been there about 1 week tho .
Guess i will wait it out until they either send it to me or send it back.

Well, UPS got back to me quickly and said that it would not be released. Hopefully they are going to send it back to powerkingshop and i will get a refund.
I thought i had done my research, but apparently not. Lesson learned....
