That's actually a post war frame. That was called a "Camelback" style frame- They came out late '40s, that could be as late as '55 or so. I have a prewar Roadmaster "Flying Teardrop" men's skiptooth chainring with poor chrome that you can have for the price of shipping...
 
I didn't think it was possible to make a Valiant look Cool but you've done it. I miss my Duster.
