Scooter Guy shows off his new camera with the titan 50cc four stroke

good looking , and comfortable , , its got coaster break in the back , i will have to figure out a hand mechanism for it . its a seven speed internal hub i have no idea the gear ratio in there . i just put it in the highest gear and pedaled it . its going to be just fine . for titan . the streched body will make for plenty of pedal room .

Jerry....i've got an Electra Cruiser Model 1 & it's a great ride cos of it's long wheelbase but the only thing that really bugs me is the rear coaster brake.I've had it apart twice now getting it to work properly & still(at it's best) it's not very powerfull;plus it's a HUGE inconvenience not being able to back-peddle.The front forks were also replaced,& v-brakes used instead of standard weak caliper.

yes i agree , really don't want to mess with the coaster break . i was thinking of putting a lever on it with reverse tension spring for return up to a hand lever . but will probably just leave it and use either bmx style breaks . would have to find a good tig welder for v breaks . then i wouldn't trust the weld . double butted aluminum means its thin in the middle a double thick on the ends were the welds are . and i'm afraid the aluminum is thin where the post would need to be welded . we will see as i go along . i'm just getting started on it . building the freewheel crank . and switching out the thin whitewall tires for some nice 2.2125 cst road tires i did some horse trading to get those . should give a nice cushy ride . and a puncture proof tubes.

ok , the cranks went on good and the new tires look great , thank you oldandintheway . motoredbike.com member . while putting the tires on i found a mount for the rear breaks down by the kickstand , under the bike . rear break should be a cinch now . will need to figure out how to remount chain guard . the 22t on the freewheel crank gets pretty close to the mounting hole . tomorow . motor mount and motor ,

Jerry, you are not going to mount the motor by drilling into that beautiful Electra bike, are you? I sure hope yo are using clamps, like you have on your latest builds.

hello Walter , How are the titan twins ? nope i'm not drilling this frame , i wanted to challenge myself to clamp this system to the bike , the p clamps from harley Davidson are great but they limit the bikes you can use to 1 1/4 tube . so i am building some very nice clamps from aluminum , to fit this tube size , i have finished the top clamp and am working on the bottom clamp . they will look great and be very effective . allowing me to use the top slider slot on the motor mount for chain tension , i will have a picture in a just a little bit . check back . i also am fabricating some chain tensioners for the back axle , this bike has horizontal drop outs , like a scooter , and the torque of the final drive chain will pull the rear wheel forward making the chain go loose unless i do something about that i could buy something but i like to make things . i will include pictures of those too .

ok here are the clamps i made . i was going to call them cage clamps , but i googled it and someone already has dibs on that name . so i will call them rubik's clamps . they are made from wafers of t611 aluminum . i used a hand drill and an angle grinder , they are not perfect . but they fit on the bike and don't move . and will hold the mount and allow me to use the slot on the motor mount for chain tension .
