Shaft Drive is this cool or what?

I was just looking at Schwinn Electric bikes and they have a driveshaft to the pedals also. I'd like to see one.

Oh man, ever since I got so stoked to build a motored bike I have had my head buried in bike links, this forum, and anywhere else I could find idea's. I don't know how I missed this drive system but wow I like it. Thanks for all the links, I really appreciate it.

The problem would be rigging a freewheel....so no it wouldn't work with the SBP shifter kit.

I've only seen them, previously, on commercial bikes. Good to see it's now an aftermarket part.

Might not work with the SBP shift kit but you could quite easily build your own jackshaft assembly (if you have the tools) that would work with this Downside efficiency with gear drive isn't as good as chain drive.
