About to install my 1st GEBE kit...any suggestions?

I think my front strap will only fit one way otherwise the belt will hit my brake. The next thing I do (when I wake up later today ) is get that situated.
Thanks for the zip tie tip. Great idea as a safety net.

Hey Sean,

On your pic #4, I've been adding my 2-ziptie backup protection on the front strap, and according to some of the stories, it has possibly prevented quite a few accidents if the bolt, holding it to the fender bar, fails.

If the strap comes loose, the engine falls back and the throttle revs wide open. Esp. perilous if it happens in traffic.

I got her all put together and took her for her maiden run yesterday. Oh man I love this thing. Pics to come.

Some words of caution. You want to vary the throttle during the first 5 tankfuls.

A friend has one of those +40 cc kits, and I had one for a short time.

They are trickier to get the hang of, trigger-wise, and my friend ate 2 belts in one week, letting his grandkids jump on it and hit it wide open. Keep those $25 belts in mind if your friends ask to ride it.

You will know how to go up hills, what sound the engine makes which tells you when to help it, and they won't.

Of all the engines, that 40cc is most like a stallion, you can make it fly, while a stranger will get bucked off in a flash.

Yea and Remember

To always give the peddles a few turns before you give it gas.
This will save on belt life.
And if you do let somebody else ride it make sure they know that too ...
You just want to get the bike rolling a little, sometimes i just push mine a few steps and jump on and gun it..

You just want to avoid loading up the belt, that puts a strain on everything, belt, spokes, engine

name of the game is break it in without breaking anything !!!
