hey id like a few suggestions on resistor plugs?

i have BPR#ES's at work will they work?

i would like a resistor type to help with the speedo, i already replaced the wire and cap with an RF sheilded one.

those resistor plugs may be of some help with your speedo Dave ??

I have used those in the old days on old cars so as to help with radio reception

never was sure if I truly liked them ?? did they help me out ?? yes a little it seemed...

worth a try ?? why not ?? careful about using a plug that may be too hot ??

hey dave
where is embrun ?
I was born in hamilton and lived all over ont, thought I even new most of the small towns up north (as a Heavy Tow/Recovery owner/operator)

embrun is basically the bum-**** nowhere town of eastern corntown.
(prescott russel township)

you take the vars exit 25 minutes east of ottawa where the big car auction is and go towards the border. you can take backroads to cornwall at this exit too crossing right through embrun.

its a french town. Would that help you understand a little more about WHY you dont know about it?

Resistor plugs reduce RF interference by filtering the RF energy generated by the spark discharge. That's all they do.This resistance has little if any effect on the spark intensity, since the currents involved are really quite small.

all good info, that i already know.
however
im looking for some specific codes you may have experience using.
i have a few different "r" plugs at work i can bring home (i work at an equipment rental store, we have a few extras laying around for our gear)

Hi!
i have been using a NGK BR6HS on all my engines for years now, they work fine and my speedos work great.

Hi!
i have been using a NGK BR6HS on all my engines for years now, they work fine and my speedos work great.

I went to the local NAPA dealer and tried to get that number. Computer said none were in stock. The nice fellow tried every cross reference without luck.

Then he tried one heat range hotter and found a 7534 which is NGK's new number. When he brought the box out is was marked both B6HS and 7534.

Puzzling,R stands for resistor to the best of my knowledge,so a B6HS and BR6HS should be otherwise identical (same heatrange),but the new designation 7534/B6HS supposedly is a hotter plug, confusing, what gives???.
