The "wheel" - interesting...

No, no, no.....there's no "bad" there. It was nice of you to offer it up.

It is a concept that's been around a while. I think motorized wheels were popular in Europe in the late 40's and 50's.

I've even seen that particular one on some site or other before. It's clearly more modern. But I don't know if it ever made production. I kinda doubt it. It has some weaknesses.

Maybe it was meant to be marketed through "the Sharper Image". :)

That's probably the one place that would have saluted if it were run up the flag pole.

Give the guy a break. Even though you may think it is old news, it is still news to some folks. Sheesh.
the news is so old that the company has come and gone as in failed which is no great surprise

Okay, so this has been kicked around a bit. But the guy was just offering up a conversation piece. And that might not be a bad reason to allow old subjects to come up again.

I didn't really think that you were trying to be hard on the guy when you first called it "old news". It would have been hard to judge your intent from such a short post anyway.

But we pride ourselves on being a friendly community. Let's not argue over whether this subject is legitimate or not.

If you found this wheel interesting, javelina1, then you're perfectly welcome to say so as far as I'm concerned. And if anyone else finds it boring, then it's okay (though not necessary) to say so. But let's leave it at that.

cncdesigners - Well than obviously Tom should just close the forums to new posts because most all "new" questions have already been asked before. We'll just have everyone search the forum archives to find out what they need. Or maybe you can volunteer to approve all new posts to screen out these annoyances. :)

Delays and Speculation
Although production had been promised by the company originally for 2006, the date was pushed back to early 2008 in an interview with Popular Science. Some speculated there were technical problems with the design, and internet discussion boards show a lot of disbelief in the product due to the extended delays. As of 2009, the company's website is no longer active and the main phone line for RevoPower in Denver is not active.
