cant get rag joint true...

help my bro build a bike and hes having tons of chain problems.. it seems no matter what he cant get the rag joint true and the chain is skiping all over.. any sugjestions?

ya thats for the next build,,, took it appart, the sprokets not flat!! how do i straighten this thing out?

I used a building square as a flat edge, a vice and a pry bar to tweak it until it was flat- took some time, but it worked out great. I still use it.

Ok so with some beating some prying some filing and a tensioner mod we got er to run true (more or less)... The problem now is it feels like it has drag when fully clutched, and won't stay running,.... Is it posible to have the bolts on the hub to tight, causing drag?
