So shortly after my motorized bike stopped working (I'll pedal and let go of the clutch, I hear it start, but it's super shaky/bumpy and the gas won't really do anything)

Might be a choke issue... When starting, have the choke lever all the way up. As soon as it fires, i give it some gas, close choke to about half, ride a block or so, then close the choke fully.

Dude, you want the choke fully open, lever all the way down, to ride it.
Choke closed, lever all the way up, is to help start it on really cold mornings.
Lever half way may help on warm up before you ride it.

Yeah, this is what I said, All the way up to start, half to warm up, all the way down for riding. I guess I mixed up opened/closed, but I told the guy the correct information.
